Obituary For SFC (Ret.) Jesse Lee Rembert, Sr.

SFC (Ret.) Jesse Lee Rembert, Sr., 66, of Radcliff, KY died on September 18, 2022 in Radcliff, KY.

Mr. Rembert was a native of Hopkinsville, KY and the son of the late James and Essie Mae Rembert. He was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon and Trustee Boards; was president of the Brotherhood and Superintendent of the Sunday School. In addition, Mr. Rembert was Senior Vice Commander with the DAV, Worthy Master of Hub City #172 and Sub Line Prince of Central Consistory #244. He served his country in the U. S. Army retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Rembert, four brothers, Bennie Forrest, Robert Forrest, James Forrest and Jimmy Rembert; three sisters, Martha Forrest, Rose Lewis and Dartha Forrest, and one nephew, Luther Forrest.

He is survived by two sons, Dietrich Stanford of Lexington, KY and Jesse Rembert, Jr. of Radcliff, KY; one daugther, LaToya Babatunwase of Radcliff, KY; nine grandchildren Tamiah Standford, Tanjania Standford, Jasmine Standford, Gloria J. Standford, Tamyra Minter, Anthony L. Baxter (Scooter), Apollo Rembert, Elijah Baxter and Jadeta Gregory; two great-grandchildren, Karson Moore and Ari'el Gregory-Williams; one uncle, Ernest Rembert of Wedgefield, NC; nephews, Michael Forrest of Nashville, TN, Robert "Boosie" Forrest of Nashville, TN, David Forrest of Hopkinsville, KY, DeMarcus Rembert of Waco, TX; nieces, Deborah Butler (Dwayne) of Smyrna, TN and Maria Williams (Mark) of Hopkinsville, KY and two great nieces, Veniece Lazalla (A.J.) and Vanessa Brown both of Smyrna, TN along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Radcliff with Rev. Harold Craig officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Percell &Sons Funeral Home.

We will greatly miss Deacon Rembert's vocal thoughts and his presence much at MSMBC. He was a delight to be around, but most of all a true Man of God. Rest In Peace my brother until that glorious day when Heaven opens to receive all who love Jesus.

To my beloved brother and family. Words are not enough to express the love that has been shown to me and my family by this blessed man of God and his entire family. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Jessie you will be sorely missed and I will always keep close to my heart the conversations and wisdom you provided to me over the years. May your travel to Jesus be sweet to see Gloria your love and rest in God's loving arms.

Deacon Rembert was my Sunday School teacher and friend of many years who led me to Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church and groomed me to be a Deacon too, I'm sending my deepest sympathy to the Family, we love and will miss him too.
