David was a 1993 graduate of Greene Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. During his high school career, he was an active member of Greene County Pride Group which educated young people regarding the dangers of alcohol and drugs. After high school, David enlisted in the United States Navy where he faithfully served for 20 years. In 2013, David Retired from the United States Navy and pursued his passion as an entrepreneur there he started Champion Entertainment LLC, a multifaceted, multimedia entertainment company providing comedy. In addition to his Entertainment company, he also emceed various events, provide DJ services, and photography. He also utilized his infectious personality in theatrical productions. “Dave” performed lead roles in “When the Devil Is at Your Door”, “The Redemption Center”, “Unequally Yoked” and many more. David loved to travel and was an active member of the “TAPOUT” travel club traveling to South Africa, India, Mexico and other countries. Above anything else, David loved his children, family and friends, “He Never Met a Stranger”. David had sincere love, appreciation and enjoyment for life itself.
David was preceded in death by both parents Katrina & Roy Champion as well as two brothers, Gregory Walker and Tony Noble.
Continuing his legacy and cherishing his memories are his children: one daughter; Arianna Jewell Champion, two sons; Ahmir Justice Champion and Aiyden Jahsir Champion all of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Five sisters; Letarcia "Shun" Noble, Shawanda Champion, Tlisa (Gerald) Wynn, Yketta "KiKi" Champion, Whitney Champion, and Angel Robbins. Two brothers; Otis Champion and Brandon (Ashley) Champion. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
