Minister Lontavius Antonio Lester was born on July 18, 1983, in Vienna, GA, to Sarah Whittaker and Wilbert Lester. As Lontavius grew in his faith and walk with God, he became a member of Christ Chapel Unadilla, where he served as a dedicated Minister and member of the praise team. Lontavius had a radiant smile; one that would light up the darkest room. He was so many things to so many people: son, brother, cousin, nephew, confidant, friend, and minister. His life was filled with sweet moments shared with family and friends. On Sunday, September 25, 2022, the Lord decided Lontavius had finished his work on Earth. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Luther and Ida Mae Ingram, Zeb Breelove and Carrie Lester. Lontavius leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life: his parents Sarah and Dexter Whittaker and Wilbert and Wykena Lester; two sisters: Natasha Albert (Randy) and ShaBria Ingram; one brother: Wilbert Lester, Jr.; devoted cousins: Theresa Tomlin, Rashaun Tomlin, Phillipe Tomlin, Terence Tomlin, and Travas Wheeler; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.

So much to say. I'm only just now getting to post this, but better late than never. Few people can be called your real 'friends.' We call some people our friends, but they're really only our acquaintances. T was a FRIEND to me. I remember seeing him before he joined our church - Christ Chapel Unadilla, but then, Living Water. He was very quiet and it was easy to miss him because of that. When he joined, I remember that I wanted to make a point to get to know who this guy was. He and my twin brother and myself developed a real friendship together which was based on our many common interests, as well as on our shared experience of not being part of the 'cool' crowd growing up in school. T was very talented, and Lord knows I wish he'd been able to show the world more of what he had. Singing, rhyming, writing and directing plays, and more...he had dreams of things he wanted to do but I know fears would often have him holding back the amazing gifts he had. T knew the Lord. It was a blessing and an inspiration to see him blossom spiritually, from when he first joined the church, to when he joined the praise ministry and began to really minister on there, to when he answered his call to preach. He inspired me a whole lot with my own spirituality, I suspect way more than he realized. I was shocked to know that my friend passed. That was a gut punch for sure. Even now, over a year later, I find myself in a daze from time to time, wondering how this happened... But I KNOW I will see T again. And I believe that, even now, he is flourishing as he basks in God's presence. Love you, brother. - Shawn McClendon

Cousin you will be dearly missed. In elementary school we discover you could rap and the flows and rhymes came easy. High school and after we found out you had an amazing voice and with that you we're blessed with a spiritual weapon of praise and went on to become a member of the praise team at church. As you spiritually grew and how can I not mention your spiritual upbringing and foundation you went on and answered the Lord's calling on your life and became an ordained minister. Father God we thank you for faith and wisdom to trust you during a time like this. Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in morning. Thank you and we understand your will must be done. You are to wise to make a mistake. Look to hills which cometh our help all our comes from the Lord. Amen RIP Lontavius Lester
