Vonnie D. Ware was born on November 12, 1934, in Ofahoma, Mississippi to the parents of W.H. and Lovie Ware. He departed this life on September 20, 2022.

He received his education at O.E. Jordan High School. Carthage, MS. He continued his education at Jackson State University and earned his degree in education. He served his country by joining the U.S. Army. He enjoyed reading, learning new things, and talking with children about life.

On September 30, 1967, he married the love of his life, Essie. To this union four children were born. Vonnie and Essie expressed the importance of getting an education. One accomplishment that he and his wife were both proud of is that all four of his children graduated from college and went on to pursue careers in various fields.

Vonnie devoted his life to the Lord and joined New Jerusalem M.B. Church, where he served as deacon for many years. He believed in helping people and building the community up. Some of his accomplishments were: serving as booster club president for Thomastown Attendance Center, board member for the Carthage Hospital, volunteer firefighter for Ofahoma Firefighter, and presentof thr men of Red Dog Club.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a loving wife, Essie; four sons Von Lumumba (Katrina) Ware, Memphis, TN; Keno Ware, Ofahoma, MS Omar (Laketta) Ware, Hattiesburg, MS; and Benta Ware, Carthage MS; fourteen grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
