Mr. William E. (Gene) Morgan, Jr. of Quitman, Georgia was born on July 21, 1957 at Moody Airforce Base in Valdosta, Georgia. He lived in the Hickory Head Community of Brooks County where he loved his community, his friends and neighbors. Gene worked at Brooks County Feed and Seed in Quitman. He graduated from Brooks County High School where he was a proud member of Future Farmers of America (FFA). Gene loved farming as well as coon hunting. He helped lots of kids raise hogs for the Brooks County Hog Show. He passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
Gene is survived by his two sisters Pamela (Richard) Anderson, Crestview, FL and Sherry (Craig) Hayes, Clyattville, GA; his best friend Mary Hatcher and also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William Eugene Morgan, Sr. and Dora Lee Morgan.
