Leon Blanton, 75, of Memphis, TN passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Memphis VA Medical Center. Mr. Blanton was born August 27, 1948, to James and Bessie Blanton

Leon accepted Christ later in his life and departed this life September 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father James Lee Blanton Sr., his mother Bessie Blanton; one brother, James L. Blanton Jr., and three sisters, Raye E. Blanton, Claudette Blanton, and Cassandra Blanton.

He leaves his children, Marcus (Juawanna)Blanton, Arnedra Aldridge (Jeremy), and Sharanda (Earl Crawford Jr.) Thomas. Five grandchildren; Jasmine Blanton, Marcus Blanton Jr., Trayveon Thomas, Terrion Thomas, and Josie Aldridge. One great-grandchild, Skylar Blanton. Three brothers Anthony Blanton, Keith Blanton, and Gregory Blanton all of Memphis, TN; three sisters Louise Ellis of Compton, CA., Annette Blanton, and Vita Smith of Memphis, TN.

Memorial Services for Mr. Blanton will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 1:00pm at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Memphis, TN 38125 with Military Honors to follow.
