On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, Cecilia R. Neblett, 57, of Danville, VA, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. Born June 4, 1965, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John A. Hairston, and the late Ora Belle Stockton Hairston.

In addition to her parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee E. Hairston, James E. Hairston, and Stafford L. Hairston.

Cecilia was employed at Angel Wings as a CNA. She was a graduate of Laurel Park High School class of 1983, and she attended Evangelical Holiness Church, Axton, VA.

Those left to cherish her memory include: two daughters, Brittney “Eric” Matthews of Martinsville, VA, and Deana R. Neblett of Greensboro, NC; the grandchildren, Bri’Anna Averette, Jordynn Averette, and Kyrie Matthews; four sisters, Elder Barbara Hairston, Joyce Eggleston, Maranda “William” Carter, and Geraldine Hairston all of Martinsville, VA; three brothers, Curtis M. “Happy” Hairston, Kenneth A. “Marquita” Hairston both from Martinsville, VA, and Michael “Charlene” Hairston of Danville, VA; a special friend, Jerry Hunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 12 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Pastor Barbara Hairston, Eulogist. Burial will be private. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Brittney, and Eric Matthews, 580 Spencer Preston Rd., Martinsville, VA. The family ask that when visiting the home, you would please observe all CDC guidelines.
