Obituary For Carrie Green

Mrs. Carrie Lee Green, 89, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

She is the daughter of the late A. B. and Mae Ella Stewart. She was a member of Pen Oak Baptist Church where she served as an usher.

Mrs. Green was a retired Seamstress who enjoyed cross word puzzles, soap operas and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Pen Oak Baptist Church, Silver Creek, Mississippi at 11am. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by: sons, Nelson Cole, Sr. of Silver Creek, MS; Willie Cole of Ocean Springs, MS; Johnnie Cole of Jackson, MS; Kenneth Green of Prentiss, MS; James Green of Brookhaven, MS; daughters, Thelma Cole and Christine Hill both of Prentiss, MS; Dwan Cole and Arneather Green both of Silver Creek, MS; brothers, Henry J. Simmons of Detroit, MI; grandchildren; 42; great-grandchildren; 84; great-great grandchildren: 30.

Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm; family hour: 6-7pm. Visitation Saturday at the church, 10-11am.
