Ms. Trudie Willis passed on Friday, September 30, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Molena, GA Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all professional services. Please keep the Willis family in prayer. Ms. Trudie Willis was born on June 20, 1935, to the late Mrs. Roberta Hines Willis and the late Mr. Lawrence Willis in Molena, Pike County, GA. She spent her early years in Pike County, GA, before her family later moved to Upson County. She was educated in the Upson County School System and attended Drake High School. Ms. Trudie was the mother of seven children. To support her family, she was employed at Martha Mills and later found employment with Dr. Benjamin Brown, where she was faithful and dependable worker. Ms. Trudie was a long time and faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. In her early years, she sung in the choir and loved the preaching and teaching of the word of God. During her leisure time, Ms. Trudie enjoyed cooking, sitting on her porch, watching Family Feud, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved her family, and she was loved in return. Ms. Trudie was preceded in death by two children, Stanley Lamar Willis and Yvonne “ Dinky” Carthon ; six sisters, Lannie Mae Passmore , Carrie Chaney, Edna Willis, Florence Willis, Jimmie Richardson and Gertrude Thomas; and two brothers, James “Butch” Willis and Sidney Willis. On Friday, September 30, 2022, the Lord called Ms. Trudie’s name. She answered the call and went home to eternal rest. Ms. Trudie leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Ms. Mary Wellmaker, Mrs. Tarasina Pennyman, Ms. Cathy Johnson, Mr. Charles King all of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Stephanie (Ronnie) Burnette of Enterprise, AL; eleven grandchildren, Mrs. Khesha (Cory) Burden and Mr. Marques (Kaneka) Johnson both of Griffin, GA, Mr. Jason (Nikki) Carthon, Ms. Jessica King, Ms. Keyondra Pennyman, Mrs. Pam (Marcus) Johnson, Mr. Terrell King all of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Waymon (Kandance) Johnson and Ms. Ronacia Burnette both of Atlanta, GA, Ms. Latoya King of Forsyth, GA and Ms. Ralisha Burnette of Enterprise, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
