Mr. Cleveland Junior Lilly was born in Troy, North Carolina on March 15, 1960 to the late Earl Lilly, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Lilly.

He departed this life on October 6, 2022 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, North Carolina.

Cleveland’s employment included Asheboro Elastics and Techni-mark, Inc. He was proceeded in death by his parents Earl Lilly, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Lilly, and his daughter, Pearlie Ann Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his four children; James Martin (Beulah) and Jerry Martin of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, Malcolm Lilly and Jasmine Lilly, both of Asheboro, North Carolina. Thirteen (13) grandchildren, four (4) great grandchildren.

His three sisters, Mary Lilly, Barbara Lilly and Carolyn Lilly all of Asheboro, North Carolina; three brothers, James Lilly of Asheboro, North Carolina, Earl Lilly (Rena) of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina and William Lilly (Octavia) of Richfield, North Carolina; one aunt, Ms. Catherine Steed of Southern Pines, North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022, 2:00pm, Wadeville AME Zion Church, Mount Gilead, North Carolina. Interment will be in Bruton Cemetery, Wadeville, North Carolina.

The public viewing will be on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 3:30-6:00pm at Smith Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina and on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 1:00-2:00pm at Wadeville AME Zion Church.
