Obituary For Alfred "Fuzzy" Williams

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:7-8

Alfred Williams, affectionately known as "Fuzzy," was born to the late Charlie Williams, Sr., and the late Edna Williams on March 27, 1961, in Allendale County, South Carolina.

He received his education in the Allendale County Public School System and was a graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School, class of 1981.

At an early age, he became a baptized member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Alfred served his church in many capacities to include: Men's Gospel Choir. He served faithfully until his health declined.

Fuzzy was employed with Scotsman Ice System until August 2021. He was also a volunteered Firefighter with the Fairfax Fire Department, along with working Security.

He made sure that his time was well spent in his home, church, and community. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working, fishing, listening to gospel music, and helping put up tents for M. F. Riley's Funeral Home.

Anyone who knew Fuzzy knew he loved the love of his life, Gladys M. Williams, children, grandchildren, and he held them close to his heart.

In addition, to his parents, he is preceded in death by (1) sister: Helen Gillison; (2) Brothers: Zachary Williams and Stanley Williams.

On Friday, October 7, 2022, at his residence in Fairfax, he quietly moved into his last great adventure.

Mourning his loss, yet rejoicing in his life's legacy are: his loving and devoted wife and best friend for over 35 years; Gladys M. Williams, of the home; (3) Sons: Cedric Youmans, Fairfax, SC, Tynetrum Smoaks, Aiken, SC, and Markeith Williams, Columbia, SC; (1) Daughter: Shaniqua Williams, Fairfax, SC; (2) Devoted Stepdaughters: Shawana W. Busby, Barnwell, SC, and Stephanie W. (Lorenzo) Rouse, Allendale, SC; (14) Grandchildren; (1) Brother; Charlie (Diane) Williams, Fairfax, SC; (2) Sisters: Linda Williams and Patricia Allen both of Fairfax, SC; (2) Sisters-in-law: Shirley (Marion) Roberts, Brunson, SC and Lena (Anthony) Eady, Fairfax, SC; (4) Brothers-in-law: Harry "Tap" Williams, John F. Williams, and Terry "Pee Wee" (Crystal Ford) Williams all of Fairfax, SC; Malcom "Mike" Williams, Allendale, SC. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
