"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts." Thinking about that contagious smile of his...didn't see him often but I do remember the day Jackie & Smokey had their reception, he had a smile that day that would brighten any gloomy day! I have no doubt he's up in Heaven making everybody smile and looking down smiling upon you all. Those precious memories, hold them tight and when you think of them; know that he's smiling down on you!! Much love to you all! Ginger Turner - Class of 1980!!

IN REMEMBERANCE OF MY MY COUSIN "SMOKEY" WHEN I ASKED ANOTHER COUSIN 'WHY THEY CALL HIM SMOKEY' AND HE REPLIED: "BECAUSE HE SO BLACK". SMOKEY DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM AT ALL WITH HIS COMPLEXION--HE WAS CONFIDENT WITHIN HIMSELF. I WILL MISS THAT BUBBLY, EXUBERANT, RADIATING, CONTAGIOUS SPIRIT. I'M GLAD I HOLLERED AT HIM AND HE CAME TO MY AUNT ROSE TO SAY HELLO WHEN I WAS IN UNADILLA THIS PAST JULY. TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD--2 CORINTHIANS 5:8
