Obituary For Gertrude Luecindy "Cindy" Redding

Gertrude Luecindy Redding was born on January 25, 1958 in Atlanta, GA to the late Sherry and Line Mae Redding. She transitioned into the arms of the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2022. She attended Huntley Hills Elementary School and graduated from Chamblee High School. She was employed at Georgia Retardation Center, Elaine Clark Center, Benny’s Barbecue, and Pig-N-Chik. At an early age, she was introduced to Christ by her late mother Line Mae Redding. She was a member at Lynwood Park United Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Marshall Carter and now present Pastor Victor Lackey. She served on the nurses’ guild ministry and the hospitality committee. She leaves to cherish three sisters, Shirley Shackelford, Veronica “Jean” Redding Jackson, Pamela “Pam” Redding: three brothers, Willie Joe Redding, Charlie Redding (Dee), Timothy “Timmy” Redding (Almeda) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She had a passion for helping others, loved listening to music, enjoyed laughing, and most of all she will truly be missed for her enlighten spirit of being an honorary channel 2, 5, and 11 newscaster/reporter. If you did not get the news, she was going to be the one to report it.
