Attorney Spurgeon Fields, III of Raleigh, NC passed on October 13,2022 at Litchford Nursing Home in Raleigh, NC.

Family will be receiving friends 10:30 - 11:00 am Saturday October 22, 2022 at Redeeming Love MB Church in Raleigh, NC.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Redeeming Love Missionary Baptist Church, 3425 Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh, NC.

Saddened to learn of Spurgeon's passing this life. I met him in his freshman year at UNC. Although we did not keep up with each other over the years, time and fate would bring us together just 3 years ago when we discovered that each of us had a connection to the house his family owned for more than 40years. Seems that the now home of Preservation NC was built by my wife's great grandfather, whose family lived in Oberlin Village for 40+ years as well! Spurgeon always a quick wit, great smile and an ability to make anyone feel warm and accepted. We need more people on this planet with his kindness and warmth.
