Obituary For Dwayne D. Wilkins

Dwayne D. Wilkins affectionately known as "Scooby" was born to Carnelia Nancy Wilkins Chaplin and Franklin L. Hays on December 11, 1986, in Charleston County, South Carolina.

Dwayne received his education in the Allendale County Public School System and was a graduate of the Allendale-Fairfax High School, Class of 2005.

He was employed with Scotsman Ice Systems as a Forklift Operator.

"Scooby" was known for his jokes, his distant laugh, and his soft-spoken voice. He could brighten your day by just being a clown. Moreover, he was humble, kind-hearted, and he was able to build a friendship with anyone he encountered. He loved life and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends daily. During his leisure time, Scooby loved playing basketball, watching football, especially the New England Patriots.

He is preceded in death by: (1) Brothers: Antonio and Vinnie Wilkins.

Our love one has been taken, but God has gained another angel. On Thursday, October 13, 2022, Dwayne transitioned from labor to reward at the Allendale County Hospital.

His departure has left a tremendous void in the lives of his beloved family: Loving and devoted wife: Tyshawna Wilkins; of the home; (1) Daughter, Nyla Wilkins; (1) Step-son: Tykel Hoover; (2) Step-daughters: Ja'mya Williams and Destiny Eady; Loving parents: Carnelia and Daniel Chaplin; Father, Frankie L. Hays; (3) Brothers: Jerome (Latoya) Wilkins, Antrone (Taysheia) Holmes, and Zandric (Mattielisa) Ginn; (3) Sisters: Chanta Hays, and AnDretta Hays, and Tasha Williams; (3) Aunts: Jjoyce Barnes, Barbara Best, and Paulette Jones; (4) Nieces: Latanya Wilkins, Tierra I. Wilkins, Breunna Wilkins, and McKenzie Singleton; (5) Nephews: Jarius Hays, Jaylen Singleton, Mason Armstrong, Myles Hays, and Jamal Youmans, (2) Best Friends: Rodney (Shorty) Williams, and James Crittington, Jr.; A second mom that loved him like her own; Marla Ginn. A host of loving cousins and devoted friends.
