Obituary For Lady Barbara Hollinger Williams

Barbara Hollinger Williams went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2022. She was born on November 10, 1957, to the late Mr. Walter J. and Mrs. Emily Grace Hollinger of Panama City, FL. Barbara was truly an anointed vessel of God. Her life was shaped by and centered on God. She loved God, spoke God’s word, and was a woman of prayer. She carried the gospel worldwide teaching, preaching, and as a guest speaker. Barbara blessed the lives of thousands of women and children. She was passionate about helping women from all walks of life. She also mentored kids of all ages and urged them to be all they could be in Christ Jesus, encouraging them to dream “BIG.” “If you can dream it, you can do it” - was her motto.

She traveled the world with her husband of 48 years, Pastor Walter Williams, a retired Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. She received her Doctoral degree in Theology in June 2013. She was a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel who worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 35 years. Her husband, Dr. Walter Williams, is the pastor of All God’s Children & the Living Word Worship Center in Valparaiso, Florida, where Barbara served as the First lady. She served as the President of Fort Walton Beach Florida Aglow International for seven years. She also served on the board and ministry team of One Heart, One Voice Women’s Ministries in Destin, FL. Barbara worked for the federal government for over 20 years, including the Eglin Air Force Base Civil Engineering Group and various roles around the world before focusing on full-time ministry. Barbara was also known for her cooking and baking, as people would often put in special requests to make her favorite recipes. Her slogan was, “I cook as good as I look!”

She will truly be missed by the hearts she touched and be remembered for the love, the encouraging words she spoke, and the life she lived.

She leaves cherished memories with her husband, Walter Williams of Niceville, FL, and three children, Angela (Charles) Hamilton of Desoto, TX, Alicia Cox of San Antonio, TX, and Andrea (Anthoine) Corpening of Tampa, FL. She was “GG” or the gorgeous grandma of seven grandchildren: Alexis, Derek II (DJ), Daniel, Emily, Kayla, Aliyah, and Anthoine II. Her siblings include Walter (Diane) Hollinger of Panama City, FL; Linda Hollinger Branch of Lynn Haven, FL; Melvin (Cynthia) Charles Hollinger of Memphis, TN; Gloria Hollinger of Tampa, FL; Jacqueline Hollinger of Jacksonville, FL; Michael (Vanessa) Hollinger of San Antonio, TX; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual children, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022; 11am at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church, Niceville, FL. Interment will be Monday, October 24, 2022 in the Barrancus National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL with all arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City.

Alexis, Derrick, your Dear Mother , to the family of Lady Barbara Hollinger Williams. My prayers and condolences are being sent to you. Prayers that you will are sheltered in the shadow of the All Mighty. I met your grandmother through you, in Enid, Ok., at Eisenhower School. Such a beautiful well together Woman of God. I remember her, saying, "When I grow up, I want to be like you/her". Such a confident Lady, and her example and presence was displayed by each of you. There is no sorrow that God can not touch, May His love, comfort, and care sustain each of you. Oh, and by the way, she had a "mink" coat on, visiting her grand babies school. (Smiles), Thinking of you ALL, and keeping you in prayer. Much love, Mrs. Petty🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️
