Mrs. Sylista Mae Cooper Dixon born the third child of Mr. Napoleon Leon & Mrs. Maella Virginia Price Cooper. She was born July 17, 1959 in Manning, South Carolina but was raised in Brooklyn, New York.

Her siblings are the late Hattie Delores Cooper, Barry Leon, Karl Maurice, Beverly Yvonne Cooper.

Sylista was educated in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Carnise High School and got her degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan, New York.

Sylista met her husband in 1983 while working at Macy’s. They married in 1986 and God blessed them with three children; Ajuna, Jerrell, and Chanel. Sylista was loved by her husband of 36 years Everrett S. Dixon, 3 children: Ajuna N. Cooper - Williams (Felipe A. Williams), Jerrell S. Cooper, & Chanel N. Rockwell ( David L.C. Rockwell). Her 6 grandchildren, Mr. Nakim M. Williams, Mr. Marquise T. Williams, Mr. Ahmet D. Williams; Ms. Jahasia P. Brutus Williams, Ms. Iyanna C. Williams, and Ms. Aaliyah D. Williams. Also one great-grandson Zymir Williams.
