Esther was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. There was not a person she could not befriend. Whether she was taking friends to town or packing her grandkids in the car, Esther was ready to get up and go. Her grandkids were her world. She always knew how to make anyone who she encountered feel loved. She enjoyed always lending a helping hand, talking on the phone, taking road trips, dancing to the radio, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Rutherford leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband, Mr. Andrew Rutherford of Thomaston A daughter, Mrs. Stacy (Charles ) Thurmon of Fayetteville, a son, Mr. Amos Johnson of Rex, grandchildren Amos Johnson IV, Ashleigh Thurmon, Matavious Anderson, Charles, Charleston Thurman. Two sisters Mrs. Bernice (Thomas) Jones, Mrs. Oliva (Sammie Sr,) Shropshire both of Barnesville. One brother, Mr. Judge Collier of Jonesboro, Aunts Mrs. Martha (J.C.) Fletcher of Atlanta, and Mrs. Lucille Ransom of California. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends whom she shared so many memories.
