Obituary For Mrs. Shanta "Shonnie Bell" Thomas

Farrell A homegoing celebration in honor of Mrs. Shanta L. Thomas will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11am at Greater Mt. Zion COGIC 1825 Roemer Blvd in Farrell, PA. Mrs. Thomas departed this life October 26, 2022 in Farrell, PAn Woods in Farrell, PA. She was a 1995 graduate of Farrell Area School District and 1996 graduate of the Shenango Valley School of Business, where earned an Associates Degree in Business. After her graduation she began her employment at Lincare, formally Healthcare Solutions where she was employed for 25 years.

Shonnie was very committed to her family friends and her community. She enjoyed supporting her children and their activities, such as the Farrell Girls Volleyball and Basketball Boosters , where she worked faithfully in the concession stands.

Shonnie loved to cook and spend quality time with her family, especially Montana her grandson, and letโ€™s not forget making sure that her hair was always on point.

She is survived by her mother, Wanda J. Bell;, her husband, Matthew Thomas of Farrell, PA; her three loving children, Marshaun Hyman, Quaraun Thomas and Damerra Thomas, all of Farrell; her grandson, Montanna Hyman and her granddaughter Anaeya Marshai Thomas , due December 2022; her siblings, Demond (April) Bell, Dontae (Ashley) Bell, Pamela (Tyrone) Lampkins, Dion Eliam, Sr., Jalissa Woods and Jamaar Rice-Woods; her grandfather, Terry (Faye) Bell; her godfather, Rev. T. James Harrison; her godmother Laura Blue; her best friend/sister, Ronalda Brown; her favorite cousin/sister, Nikeesha (Carvel) Austin; a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , other relatives and dear friends. Shonnie was preceded in death by her father; her grandmothers, Anna M. Snow, Hortense Woods; her great-grandmother, Flossie M. Currie, and her grandfather, Andrew Woods. Friends may call Sunday October 30, 2022 from 4-6pm at the church and on Monday from 10-11am at the church. Interment will be in Brookfield Cemetery.
