Mrs. Mamie Cynthia Tennyson Johnson was born September 26, 1953 in Savannah, GA, Chatham County to the parentage of the late Mr. Tommie Lee Tennyson, Sr and Mamie Lee Brown Tennyson. She made her transition from labor to reward on Tuesday, Oct 25, 2022. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022 at 2:00 P>M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel, Louisville, GA Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant CME Church Cemetery., Bartow, GA Mrs. Johnson received her education in the Jefferson County School System. Her passion was loving her family and friends especially her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Charles D. Tennyson, Tom Tennyson, Jr. Lester Tennyson, Willie Lee Tennyson, AL Tennyson, Bobby Tennyson, Jerry Tennyson, Shirley Jean Tennyson. Mamie was well loved and leaves fond memories with her devoted sisters: Sadie T. Sanders, Trenton, New Jersey, Joann T. McNeil, Atlanta, GA and Sara T. Holmes, Augusta, GA, Debbie (Rev. James) Axen, St. Augustin, FL; two brothers: Issac Holmes, Forsyth, GA and James Holmes, Jacksonville, FL; a devoted niece and nephew that she helped to raise. Veronica Dumas, Atlanta, GA and Dexter Tyrone Tennyson, Augusta, GA and Tommie M. Tennyson, Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Diane D Tennyson, Louisville, GA; three aunts: Myrt Brown, Bartow, GA, Pauline Brown and Odella Brown, Jacksonville, FL; a devoted friend: Curtis Ellison, Augusta, GA; other loving and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
