Obituary For Tempie "Temp" Christian

Tempie Dion Christian was born on April 11, 1979, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to Michael Simmons and Gloria Christian. She was a 1997 graduate of Brooks County High School.

Tempie was a faithful and devoted member of Mt. Calvary Universal Holiness Church in Morven, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Solomon Edwards, Jr. She served diligently on the Hospitality and Special Events Committee.

She was employed by Waste Management Company in Valdosta, Georgia, for seventeen years. Tempie was known for being a determined, resilient, hard worker and always wore a smile. Tempie Dion Christian leaves to mourn, yet cherish her memories: her ever-caring mother, Gloria Christian; father, Michael Simmons (wife, Carolyn); one loving daughter, Jameica Ennis; one loving son, Jamius Roundtree; loyal and loving sister, Olympia Christian (Steven); siblings, Michael S. Simmons, Katina M Ward Simmons, Demetrius Simmons, and Ashley N. Simmons; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews; a special nephew, DJ “Yellow Boy” Robinson; many cousins and friends, including her “ride or die” crew: Iris Williams, Shala Brooks, Chanda Wright, Taffaney Smith, Heather Smith, Latrice Henderson, Lawanda Brown, and Pamela Jackson; and her godkids, Keyon Cobb, Ilyria Johns and Shantia Jenkins.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 11AM at Calvary Christian Center with Pastor Solomon Edwards, Jr., eulogist. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery.
