Obituary For Mr. Frank Huntley

Mr. Frank Huntley, son of the late William Thomas and Rosa Bell Huntley, was born November 1, 1953 in Wadesboro, North Carolina. His soul took flight Friday evening, October 28, 2022 at Atrium Hospice, Monroe, North Carolina.

Frank Huntley was a dedicated and loyal member of the Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro, N.C., where he served as a member of the Trustee ministry, Church Anniversary Committee and was a Youth Choir ministry volunteer.

He served as Past Master of Wadesboro Lodge #772, PHA, Wadesboro, North Carolina, Electa Chapter #525 Order of Eastern Star, PHA, Wadesboro, North Carolina, Holy Royal Arch Chapter #52, PHA, and was a member of the Atrium Hospital Advisory Board, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

Frank served as a member of the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. After being Honorably Discharged, he served in the National Guard in Wadesboro, North Carolina for 25 years.

Trustee Huntley was a 1971 graduate of Bowman Senior High School, Wadesboro, North Carolina. He retired from Coffin-Hoist, Wadesboro, North Carolina after working 30 years as a machinist.

Frank was a devoted husband and father who always put the interests of his family first. He delighted in fellowshipping with friends and family.

He was married for 50 years to Betty (Lynn) Colson Huntley. He also leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Katrina Lynette Huntley of Charlotte, North Carolina; one grandfur, King of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers, Samuel Lindsey of Washington, DC, William T. Huntley Jr. (Cornelia) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and James T. Huntley Sr. (Anita) of Wadesboro, North Carolina; sisters, Nellie Myers (James) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Celliar Garris, (Willie) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Geneva Rhames (James) of Indian Trail, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Frederick Colson of Wadesboro, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Lee) Little of Lilesville, North Carolina and Cindy Colson (the late Charles) of Monroe, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, November 5, 2022, 11:00am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in Flat Rock 52 Memorial Park, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
