Evangelist Darlene Kendrick Harris passed on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until 4:30 P.M. at Trice Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Healing Tabernacle 1710 Waymanville Road Thomaston, GA Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all professional services. Please keep the Harris family in prayer. Evangelist Darlene Kendrick Harris, also known as “Pokey”, was born on February 14, 1969 to the late Mattie Kendrick Willis and Mr. Travis Bryant in Pike County, Georgia. God called her home on Sunday, October 29, 2022. Darlene attended public school in Thomaston, GA. She later obtained her Master of Cosmetology Degree from Flint River Technical College. She later received her Bachelor’s degree Business Administration from Ashford University. She loved dancing, singing, going to church, spending time with her nieces, nephews, and family, cooking, baking, playing softball and doing hair. Darlene was a member of Mt. Zion Healing Tabernacle where she was over the kitchen committee. She became an Evangelist in the Church. She loved teaching and bringing forth the word of God. She was under the leadership of Chief Apostle Anthony Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Rickey Harris, II. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Mr. Rickey Harris; three children, Anissa Harris, Demontarius Harris and Taurean Harris; five grandchildren, Amari Kyree Miller, Khylen Seay, Malayjha Seay, Kayden Harris and Hayden Baker; eight sisters, Kim Darden (Carey) Brenda Jordan (George), Dorothy Weaver (Harvey), Lisa Prather (Peter), Jackie Flemister (Eddie Gene), Teresa Park (Mark), Marsha McLendon (Arthur) and Elaine Murphy (Malcom); four brothers, Rickey Kendrick, Rico Kendrick, Jimmy Bryant and Chester Bryant (Ailene); father-in-law, Cornell Harris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Antiquonita Bussey (Marcus) , Debbie York (John) , Jeanette Meadows, Sylvia Stroud, Cornell Harris, II (Kimberley), and Kenneth Harris; aunts and uncles include, Mary Hopkins (Larry), Mary Dennis (Johnny) Kendrick (Diane), Pastor Ulysses Kendrick (LouAnn), Apostle Jimmy Kendirck (Helen) and Shallie Kendirck; a host nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Everytime I think of you i can't help but to smile. I'm sure that's how everyone who knew you feels. My best memories while living down there was when I use to spend the night at you and Rick house.
