Alonzo made his transition on October 25, 2022 to be with the Lord Our Savior.
Alonzo joined the church at an early age. He received his education in the Greensboro County school system and graduated from Floyd T. Corry High School in 1962.
Alonzo was employed by St. Regis Paper Company for many years as a journeyman pressman, where he served as the President of their Union. Later was employed at Mead Packaging Company.
Alonzo's passions were fishing, Falcons, Braves and manicuring lawns. He would literally watch the grass grow so that he could cut it.
Alonzo met the love of his life, Inez Reid in high school and they were united in Holy Matrimony on November 29, 1964. To this union, they were blessed with two sons and two daughters.
Alonzo leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Inez Finch; sons, Lorenzo Finch (Mary Margaret) and Andre Finch (Eddaisha); daughters, Almekka Wilson (Tyreese) and Yoshie Jenkins (Darius); grandchildren, Zenobia, Ethan, Emirah, Naimora, Reid, Naomi, Reese, Khiry, Dontai and Daria; great grand child, Nalanie; sibĀlings, Eddie Finch, Grady Finch, Rudine Smith, Barbara J. Finch and Dorothy Hobson; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
