Annie Ruth Lowe (Sister Ann) completed her earth’s journey on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, NC. She was born January 6, 1933, to the union of the late George and Mary Pratt in Rockingham County.
Sister Ann was a loyal and devoted member of New Light Refuge Temple Church, Madison, NC where she served as a Willing Worker, a member of the Missionary board and the Gospel Chorus Choir. She was employed at Stoneville Furniture Company 20 years, before she retired. She loved spending time with her family.
She was married to the late Cleo Alphonso Lowe and to that union, two sons and three daughters were born: James, William, Karen, Annette and Penny.
She was also preceded in death by her son, William Alphonso Lowe and two brothers, William Pratt and George Pratt, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Son; James Lowe of Madison, NC, three daughters; Karen Lowe (Alvin) of the home, Annette Scales (Michael) of Madison, NC, Penny Lowe (Quinton Sr.) of Greensboro, NC. Daughter-in-law; Mary Lowe, nine grandchildren; Coby, Terri, Tony, Donnie, Dwayne, Brent, Chloe, Marquis, Quinton, Jr., Quamari and Champ. Ten great grandchildren; Lewis, James, Malika, Cameron, Jackie, Micha, Omar, Bishop, Allie and Elijah. Six great great grandchildren; Jaiden, Kaitlyn, Charlotte, Sydney, Izlani and Ava. Three sisters; Dorothy Lowe of Madison, NC, Elizabeth Brown of Stokesdale, NC and Jane Hayes of Browns Summit, NC, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
