Obituary For Rudolph V. Dewar

Mr. Rudolph Valentino Dewar, son of the late Needham and Halcie Dewar, was born on the twenty-fifth day of November 1943 and departed this life on the fifth day of November 2022 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rudolph graduated from Apex Consolidated High School on the eighth day of June 1963 following which he attended and graduated from Harris Barber College, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rudolph was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Dewar. He is survived by one daughter, Tanya Michelle Dennis, Fuquay-Varina, NC; two stepdaughters, Renee W. Boynton and Dawn Parker; one son, Chad Dewar, Holly Springs, NC; one grandson, Hason Dewar of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Charles McArthur Dewar, Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Jessie Ruth Dewar with whom he resided, Holly Springs, NC and Marsha Rivers of Greensboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Joyce Dewar of Raleigh, NC and several nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Rudolphโ€™s chosen career path as a licensed barber opened doors for him in numerous establishments to include, but not limited to, work in Raleigh, Dunn and finally to Fayetteville where he worked at Fort Bragg. His most recent employment ended with a stint at Womenโ€™s Correctional Institution. Subsequently, prior to retirement, his entrepreneurial spirit led to his true passion โ€“ driving trucks with final retirement coming in 2006.

He made many friends through the years and will be greatly missed within the community.

Visitation: 4:00 - 6:00 pm Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: Holly Springs City Cemetery in Holly Springs, NC.

Masks are required in order to attend the visitation and or funeral service.
