Mr. Benjamin C. Morgan

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, the Lord called one of his sons, Benjamin C. Morgan home to rest peacefully. After a lifetime of Love, Service and Blessings our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother & Friend has gone home.

His memorial service will be held 1:00PM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Woodard Funeral Home Chapel.

Benjamin Cornelius Morgan Sr was born on July 25, 1942 to the union of Blanche Baldwin and Edward Morgan in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He grew up in Chapel Hill, NC with sister Richelle Watson and brother Edward Morgan II (aka Squeaky).

Benjamin successfully matriculated through Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School System and graduated at 15 yrs old from Lincoln High School. He later attended North Carolina Central University and graduated with a Bachelor's & Master’s Degree in Mathematics.

After meeting the love of his life, he married Verda Mae Oliver in Winston-Salem, NC. They later started a family in Maryland in 1968. Ben found a career with Westinghouse as a Sales Director. As his career excelled, he began working for Xerox where he quickly rose the corporate ladder. He was named Top Regional Sales Executive for many years.

Ben lived with his family in Baltimore until they relocated to Ellicott City, MD in 1988.

He later moved back to North Carolina to start a Wendy’s Franchise. It was constructed for him in Greensboro, NC in 1996 and he operated the Franchise until 2006.

To continue with his love for Mathematics, he began working as a Retired Teacher for Guilford County Schools in 2008. He loved his students & in his free time, he enjoyed playing golf & doing yard work. He was an avid reader and loved to constantly educate himself.

Benjamin is survived by his children, Beverly Nicole Morgan (Springfield, VA), Benjamin Cornelius Morgan II (Timonium, MD), Benita Christina Morgan (Browns Summit, NC), and Benaiah Joy Morgan (Browns Summit, NC). Along with his grandchildren, Aja, Josh, Jayda, Braxton, Caleb, Anajia, Jasmine, Jaleia, Keith Jr., Derek Jr., Haven and Na’jhae.

He also leaves his sister, Richelle Watson (Chapel Hill, NC) and her children Tiffany and Kevin Watson along with 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Benjamin has left a lasting impact knew & loved him, and he will truly be missed. He is now joined with Verda Mae Oliver Morgan and they both rest eternally in heaven.
