Damon Dupree McLean was born in Gaston County on February 2, 1963 to Andrew Jackson McLean, Jr. and Joann Copeland. He transitioned from his earthly home on Tuesday; November 8, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian, Charlotte, NC.

Memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon.

Damon was in my class at Mount Holly Junior High. I thought of him as a gentle giant. He was very kind to my students and me, and a joy to be around. RIP Dianne Ellis
