She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church for eighty-eight years. She loved to wear her many hats to church. She served on the Ladies Usher Board until her health failed. She work at T&E Laundry until it closed. She worked for the Richmond Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. She also worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia in the General Services Department cleaning offices and as a watchman.
She is survived by three sons, James Williams, Alfred Jones (Zola) and Robert Jones; a daughter, Margaret Smith; brother, Aubrey Kenney of Annapolis Maryland; five grandchildren, Stephanie Grant (Darien I), Rochell Jones, Robin Mayes (Lawrence), Chantell Jones, Marcus Jones (Erica Jackson); seven great grandchildren, Darien Grant II, Nicholas Grant, Robert Brown, Marcus Jones, Jaelynn, Lawryn and Londyn Mayes; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Sunday, November 20 from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and where the family will receive friends in Scott's Chapel from 4 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Ave. Rev. A. Lincoln James, officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens.
