Obituary For Ms. Frankie R. Hicks

Frankie Renae Hicks (affectionately called Renae) was born in Miami, Florida on March 26, 1961, to the late Frank James Hicks, Sr. and Christine (Lockett) Hicks.

On November 16, 2022, Frankie passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones.

Educationally, Frankie graduated high school from Miami Southridge Adult and Community Education Center in December 1981. After graduating, she went on to pursue becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant from Carey Technical School and persevered on to becoming a National Certified Medical Assistant graduating from Florida Career College.

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Certified Medical Assistant with over 20 years of experience within the medical field. During her experience, she excelled by managing multiple patient cases, charting assessments, documenting, and supervising new assistants. She also worked for the Department of Homeland Security, Customs, and Border Protection prior to relocating to Augusta, Georgia and joined the Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center (formally known as Golden Living Center) until she became ill. Personally, she had a special talent for catering and spent many years creating platters and serving at events, using much of her skills from part-time work in the deli. Frankie enjoyed watching food videos (BLove was one of her favorites), reading books, movies and simply sitting on her porch, talking on her phone, watching the seasons change and her flowers bloom.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters: Dr. Tikki (Cordaryl) Middleton of Hephzibah, GA and Trellani Hicks of Augusta, GA; one sister: Charise Hicks of Miami, FL; two brothers: Frank James Hicks, Jr. and Christopher Lockett of Miami, FL; three grandchildren: Ezzard Horn III, Thomas Horn, and Cortland Middleton all of Hephzibah, GA; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be Friday, November 18, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Outreach Church, 2664 Willis Foreman Rd., Hephzibah, Ga 30815.
