His heart was captured by his only daughter, Nikki Brooks. He affectionately called her “Baby Cake.” Their smiles are identical and could light up a room. In 1986 he married Agnes Benjamin of Fort Pierce and they walked together for 35 years in agreement. With this union, he gained a bonus son, Tracy Latimer. He loved his time with Tracy “keeping it real!” After giving his life to Christ he joined Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Roszon Lawrence. Following the call and will of God, he became a licensed minister. Later he joined Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Elder S.P. Kilpatrick.
