Obituary For Mrs. Armendia Williams

Armendia Williams transitioned to take her rest from this life On November 13, 2022, unfortunately due to a timely illness. Armendia Williams made the peace with God and took her rest. Armendia Williams was born on May 3, 1956, in Stateline, Mississippi, to (late) Mr. Eddie Chestnut and (surviving) Mrs. Mary F. Chestnut.

Armendia Williams, received her early education in the Bay County District Public Schools, and graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School in 1975. Upon graduation, she went on to attend Gulf Coast Community College. She furthered her education in Business Administration at Gulf Coast Community College and Tom P. Haney.

Armendia Williams accepted Christ at an early age, joined New Hope Baptist Church, and was baptized under the then leadership pastor, Rev. Henry C. McCray. Life later led to the marriage of Mr. Harold Poole (Hattiesburg, Miss.) in which this union a son was born. After the dissolution of marriage, in (1997) Armendia Williams, later went on to marry (late) Mr. Thomas Williams (Panama City, Florida). Armendia Williams was a housewife.

Armendia Williams, was preceded in death by her father, (late) Mr. Eddie Chestnut; sister (late) Ms. Eddie M. Brown; son (late) Mr. Paul Poole, and devoted husband of many years (late) Mr. Thomas Williams.

Armendia Williams leaves to cherish many loving memories. She is survived by a most caring, and devoted mother, Mrs Mary F. Chestnut. A mother which looked after and cared as much as she could until the end. Siblings, brother Mr. Edward C. Chestnut, Wakulla, Florida, sister Ms. Lola M. Brown, Seattle Washington, and a loving and caring brother Mr. James E. Chestnut, Lynn Haven, Florida. Nieces, Keely N. Brown, Phoenix, Arizona, Christina Rosado (Felix) and family Tallahassee, Florida; Nephews; Isaac Brown Jr. (Evelyn) and Family, Homestead, Florida; Izra Brown and Family, Atlanta, Georgia; and Justin M. Broxton, New York City. Loving Granddaughter, Kaia Poole, and daughter-in-law, Jarmel Poole, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Brother in laws, Josephus Williams, and Marshall Williams, Panama City, Florida; Sister-in-law, Ann and family, Jacksonville, Florida; Cousins Rev. Oscar Chestnut (Joanna) and Family, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Phyllis, Jackie, Wayne, and Melissa, California; Willie C., and Tommy, Panama City, Florida; Robert, and Rev. McCall, Texas; Related relatives, Lisa (Bruce) and Family, Chicago, Illinois, Carolyn and Family, Panama City, Florida. All friends, related family members, and other associates; Faye and Family, Evelyn and Family, Gloria and Family.

A Homegoing Celebration will be Sunday, November 20th at 2p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn Haven with Pastor Clay Long, Rev. Oscar Chestnut, Rev. Tammie Anderson, Rev. McCall, Minister Sheila Gipson and Willie L. Brown officiating. Interment will follow Monday, November 21st at 2p.m. at Barrancus National Cemetery in Pensacola with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City.
