Edna entrepreneurship led her to become a child care provider for many years. Through those years she has cared for children in her community and afar. Not only did she have a demeanor that was appreciated but she had a loving and caring attitude for all, especially for children. She never met a stranger. The word stranger was not in her vocabulary and anyone who wanted their children to be safe, they knew to bring them to 1081 Adrian Dr.
About 37 years ago she decided to dedicate her life to Jehovah as one of his witnesses and she served him faithfully until the day of her death.
Edna leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Kenneth Griggs and Tharous Hutchinson II (Angela); three daughters: Bobbie Mitchell (Robert), Elethea Heath (Johnny), Santresa Martin (Greg) and Margaret Hutchinson who preceded her in death. One brother James “Touche” Griggs, Jr. (Betty); one sister Anna Jernigan who preceded her in death. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
