Obituary For George Henderson, Jr.

Mr. George Henderson, Jr., 72, of Columbus, GA passed Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Columbus, GA.

Visitation is Monday, November 28, 2022 at Taylor Funeral Home from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Henderson was born May 5, 1950 in Phenix City, Alabama to the parentage of the late Lonnie B. Henderson and Susie B. Henderson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frank Henderson.

George departed this life on Sunday, November 20, 2022 12:30 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Capernaum International Ministry in Columbus, Georgia and served faithfully until his health declined.

He was employed with the Columbus Consolidated Government and retired after thirty-eight years of employment.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a loving devoted friend, Mary Walker; three brothers, Lonnie C. Henderson, Jr. of Box Springs, Georgia, Arthur Lee Henderson of Phenix City, Alabama, Jessie Henderson of Columbus, Georgia; three sisters; Patricia Ann Henderson of Macon, Georgia, Laura Henderson and Ella Mae Cruel both of Columbus, Georgia; niece, Vivian V. Henderson; nephews, Johnny Henderson and Stormy Henderson; uncle, Woodraw (Fannie) Williams; his bonus children; Alecia & Drew Young of Ewa, Hawaii; Tarji and David Evans, Yashmin Walker and Gabriel Walker all of Columbus, Georgia and a host of cousins and friends.
