Carl Christopher Cozart was born in Wake County to Nancy P. Cozart and Carl Cozart on December 4, 1969. He departed this earthly home on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

“Chris” was educated in Wake County and attended Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. He furthered his training and obtained certifications in culinary arts and carpentry. He was employed many years at Ravenscroft School. Over the years, he worked multiple jobs in several industries; however, he had a passion for landscaping. He was also employed at St. Augustine College.

“Chris” first received Christ and was baptized at Maple Temple UCC. On occasion, he would visit other local churches as well, including Poplar Springs Christian Church and Loving Word Baptist Church.

“Chris” had a love for his family and people. He never met a stranger. He loved to laugh and have a good time. He had a giving heart and would help anyone, if he could. He loved art and could be seen sketching pictures in his free time. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and cooking.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Nancy P. Cozart; father, Carl Cozart; two sons, Chris Holland and Dominique Holland; one daughter, Princess Bethea; three sisters, Theresa Cozart Johnson, Khrystyna Jacobs, and Danielle Cozart; one niece, MyKhaya Johnson; one nephew, Khalil Cozart; three uncles, Andrew Partin, Leon Partin, and Larry Cozart; one aunt, Sandra Gail Graham; one godbrother, Quinton McDougal-Freeman; special friend, Kim Gatling; and a host of other relatives and friends.
