Melvina B. “Shugga” McCrimmon sailed peacefully from this earthly world on the evening of Tuesday November 22nd, 2022. She’s now at peace, dancing with the angels and her soul is set free to cruise for eternity. Melvina was born on October 9th, 1943 in Dillon, SC to the late Asa McCrimmon, Sr. and Mildred Melvina McLain McCrimmon. She was educated in the Dillon County School System. Melvina worked on the farm for most of her life. Melvina accepted the Lord into her life at an early age and was a long time member of New Zion AME Church. Melvina or “Shugga” as she was called by many relatives and friends, loved talking to people. She especially loved family gatherings with good food, music and drinks. Melvina, wasn’t perfect as none of God’s children. She enjoyed life to the fullest until her health started to decline, but she still had the strength to carry on until God said no more pain or suffering. Melvina leaves to cherish her memories; sons King E. McDuffie, Henry L. McDuffie of Dillon, SC; one daughter of the home Dorothy L. McDuffie of Dillon, SC and a host of adopted children she held close, four of which proceeded her in death; Russell Burns, Lane Greene, Tina Jackson and Vern Burns; One sister, Bertha C. McCrimmon of Dillon, SC. One Sister-In-Law, Myrtle McCrimmon of Dillon, SC. Two brothers who proceeded her in death; Asa McCrimmon Jr. and Lewis McCrimmon. Loving grandchildren ; Mona Lisa McRae of Florence, SC, Willie & Michael McDuffie of the home, Garrison (Sherena) McDuffie of Dillon, SC., Brittany Sewell of Laurinburg, NC., Kiana Barr of Charlotte, NC., Jordan McDuffie of Dillon, SC., Montarions McDuffie of Lumberton, NC., Eleven great grandchildren. Special friends Jerry McIntyre, who proceeded her in death; Lula Mae Ware of Dillon, SC., Virginia Gillespie of Clio, SC. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special nieces Mary McCrimmon; Bertha Ann McCrimmon, Sarah McCrimmon, Rhonda McCrimmon and Shirley McCrimmon.
