Obituary For Calvin J. Forehand

Calvin J. Forehand, Jr. 93, of St. Petersburg, retired Army Sgt. Maj., passed on Saturday, October 29, 2022, with his wife, Gail, by his side.

Calvin was born October 1, 1929, in St. Petersburg, FL, to the late Calvin J. Forehand, Sr. and Mildred Brown Forehand. Calvin was the eldest of seven siblings, of whom four preceded him in death, Arletha, Douglas, Dr. Will Otis, and Alvin; also his wife of fifty years, and mother of their six children, Leona Bryant Forehand. Calvin graduated from Gibbs High School in the class of 1947, attended Xavier University in Louisiana, and received a bachelor's degree in behavioral science from National Louis University in Indiana. Calvin's memories will be forever cherished by his wife, Gail; and his six children, Grayling (Jocelyn), Karen, Andae (John), Adrienne, Brian (Sharon), and Calvin (Casandra); brothers, Ray and Vernal (Y'von); sister-in-law, Delora; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial service, Thursday, December 1, 2022, 11 am at Bethel Metropolitan BC, 3455-26th Ave. S.
