In 1995 Mick accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and became a member of Temple Memorial Baptist Church in High Point, NC.
Mick attended Guilford County Schools and graduated from T. W. Andrews High School in High Point, NC in 2002. While attending high school, Mick was a phenomenal athlete in football and track. After high school, Mick attended North Carolina A&T State University where he was a member of the football team. He went on to be the assistant head coach of the Triad Chargers. In 2017 his 6U team were State Champions and in 2018 his Tiny Mite team were AF City and State Champions and Regional Runner-Up's. Mick enjoyed spending time with his parents and siblings and had many family members and friends that he loved unconditionally. He loved sports and was a UNC Tar Heels and Indianapolis Colts fan. Mick could often be found lounging around at home with his beloved pets, especially his dog, Yogi.
Although he is no longer with us, he leaves behind a wealth of wonderful memories and a legacy that will live on in all those who knew and loved him. Mick is survived by his parents, Michael, Sr. and Rosemary Turner of the home; two sisters, Brandy Turner and Margo Turner; one brother, Furious Turner; his nephew Ky’lice Davis; his niece Aubree Bolton all of Greensboro, NC; three cousins who were more like brothers, Ivan Worley, Tony Worley, and Craig Henard; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends are left behind to mourn his passing.
A celebration of life service to honor the life of Michael David Turner, Jr., will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at Temple Memorial Baptist Church, 1458 Cedrow Drive, with Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Banister, III officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
