Obituary For Donald P. Doe, Sr.

North Augusta, South Carolina-Donald P. Doe, Sr. entered into rest Monday, November 28, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Donald Percell Doe Sr. born in Augusta, GA on November 12, 1953, to the late Ernest Doe Sr. and Inez Doe. On November 28, 2022, he went into a deep sleep at his home in Belvedere SC. He worked at Graniteville Mills and Glover Masonry for many years. Then he started working at Diamond Lakes Elementary where he very much enjoyed working. Over the ten years he worked there he made many friends, Mr. Jeff, Mrs. Gwen, and his partner in crime Ms. Elam just to name a few.

Donald made peace with Jehovah when he asked a close friend, Dennis Lowman whom he loved dearly to come back and study God’s word with him. We truly believe he had made a dedication between Jehovah and himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ernest also known as Bobby Doe Jr., Michael J. Doe, and one sister Ella Mae Holiday. Donald P. Doe Sr. was affectionately known as Papa or Papa Doe to his grandkids and Daddy Doe to our neighborhood kids.

He was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a compassionate heart for all, but he would tell you just how it is. He would not hold back. He was a man full of wisdom and he wanted nothing but the best for his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, a devoted wife Linda B. Doe of North Augusta, SC, a loving mother-in-law Susie Barksdale of Martinez, GA, one devoted daughter Tina Doe-Sheppard (Charles) of Aiken SC, five devoted son’s Donald P. Doe Jr (Mykel) of Evans GA, Rashad M. Doe Sr. (Monica), Malcolm A. Doe, Austin E. Doe (Nikea) all of Graniteville SC, and Byron L. Doe of North Augusta, SC.

Two brothers Richard (Ann) White of Atlanta, Ga and Norman White of Augusta, Ga. Six sisters Jane Hudson, Jean Carter, Geraldine (Diane) Greene, Debra Doe, Henrietta Fields all of Augusta, GA and Vanessa (Randy) Randolph of Goochland Virginia, six beloved sisters-in-law, Dorothy White of Atlanta, Ga, Mary Benoit (Jeff) of Virginia, LaFrances Stewart, Rita Stewart, and Angela Flowers all of Augusta, GA, LaLa Perkins of Windsor, SC, two brothers-in-law, Willie Barksdale of Atlanta GA and Harvey Barksdale of Augusta, GA, twenty-five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, two very close friends Stanley Wilcher (Patrina) and a great fishing partner and friend Ebbie Glover.

He made a lasting impact on us all and because of his god given trait his legacy will live forever.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 4063 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Warrenville SC 29851

W. H. Mays Mortuary, 1221 James Brown Boulevard, Augusta, Georgia 30901 (706)722-6401.
