Obituary For Patricia Littlejohn

Ms. Patricia Ann Littlejohn, an original native of Shelby, who moved to Hickory, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest at the age of sixty-four on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Carolina Caring Hospice in Newton, N.C.

Patricia was born on August 2, 1958, to the late Mattie Johnson Littlejohn and DavidLittlejohn of Shelby, N.C. She grew up in Shelby, N.C and graduated from Crest HighSchool in 1977. Afterwards, she moved to Hickory and was a faithful member of Clinton Tabernacle AME Zion church, where she was an advent Usher each and every time she was provided the opportunity to serve. Later she became a full-fledged devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hickory where she faithfully served until her health declined.

She was employed at Hickory Springs Manufacturing in Hickory for 35 years. She was then employed as a custodian for 16 years at Hickory Public Schools in Catawba County. She transitioned to an in-home aide providing exemplary care to the elderly.

"Trish" as she was affectionately known by her close family and friends, genuinely enjoyed caring for others, cooking the best pound cakes for family, loving on her family, ushering at church and providing encouragement and positive influence on all that she encountered. Her spirited personality was unlike any other and will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Mattie Littlejohn, Father David Littlejohn, Paternal Grandfather Arthur Johnson, Paternal Grandmother Marie Johnson, Maternal Grandmother Lorine Rudisill, and Brother Paul Littlejohn.

Leaving to cherish fond memories of Trish are her beloved daughter Shimeka Littlejohn, adorable granddaughter Mariah Oden of Hickory, five brothers Bobby Gene Littlejohn (Annie), Roger (Pete) Littlejohn (Fay), Robert (Ted) Littlejohn all of Shelby and Harold Littlejohn (Cleomise) of Columbia, SC and Earl Watkins also of Shelby. A special cousin Revonda Vinson of Lawndale. A special aunt Dorethia Shade Miller of Shelby and special family friends Kela Coleman, Anni Ruth Burney, Sherrye Wilson, David Horne, and Mary Hopper along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many more friends and family members.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mt Zion Baptist Hickory. The service will be live-streamed starting at 12:45 PM from Enloe Mortuary Facebook page. Baptist Hickory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM.

Words can't express the magnitude of loss our family is feeling in this moment. I am so thankful to have had an aunt with such a warm spirit and soul!
