Mrs. Gwendolyn Patton

Gwendolyn Roy Patton was born on October 23rd, 1945, in Detroit, MI, and she transitioned from her earthly home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She resided in Mobile, AL, for over 40 years. She was a loyal and devoted employee of the United States Postal Service, where she was the Postmaster until she retired. She was preceded in death by her mother, Natcarlee Davis, daughter Andrea L. Morrison, and mother-in-law Lelia Millender. She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving and devoted husband, Woodrow Patton Jr., for the past 45 years. Two sons, Charles (Mary Jane) Hardmon and Elder Woodrow (Shauntaye) Patton III. Four daughters; Lisa Patton, Rhonda Patton, Marcie (Willie) Mitchell, and Thomasiona West. Three sisters-in-law; Hattie Pugh, Willamenia Scott of Mobile, AL, and Pamela (Tillis) Fuller, of Auburn, GA. Twenty-Four grandchildren; Timmai (Trenton) Andrews, Inara Selete, Matthew Selete, all of Mobile, AL, Gwendolyn Selete of Atlanta, GA, and Rochea Loftin of Florida. Christopher Wilkins, Erica Hardmon, Kyla Hardmon, Ariel (Michael) Saunders, Dante Love, Selecia Love, Lois Hairston, Amanda Hairston, all of Michigan. Darrien Lewis, Jasmine Lewis, Kendra Smith, Kenneth Smith, Bolucius Ezell, Marquis Patton, Woodrow Patton IV, De Angelo Patton, Elaine Patton, Nykell Vail, and Rahmiyah Brooks, all of Mobile, AL. One Godson, Bill Bliss, of Mobile, AL, and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and family. Her remains will be viewed Saturday December 10,2022 at New Jerusalem Ministries of Mobile, Alabama from 1pm until the 2pm funeral hour. Burial will commence in Whispering Pines Cemetery.
