Gladys Mae Williams was born the daughter of the late Sarah and Ernest Williams in Allendale County, South Carolina, on July 7, 1951.

At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she became a member of Long Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

She attended the public schools of Allendale County, and was a graduate of C.V. Bing High School.

Gladys enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, and talking on the telephone for hours with her many friends. She was a mother to all including the many children she would babysit.

Gladys Mae Williams, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and confidant departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at AU Health, Augusta, GA.

As she begins her new journey of life, she will be greeted with love by the love of her life for over 40 years, Alfred "Fuzzy" Williams, (2) Brothers: Ernest Williams and Lanwourd Williams.

Her departure has left a tremendous void in the lives of her beloved family: (2) Daughters: Stephanie W. (Lorenzo) Rouse, Shawana Busby; (1) Son: Markeith Williams (Valanqua Hurst), (2) Sisters: Shirley (Marion) Roberts, Lena (Anthony) Eady; (4) Brothers: Harold "Tap" Williams, John F. Williams, Malcolm Williams, and Terry (Krystle Ford) Williams; (9) Grandchildren: Saterria (Richard) Broomfield, Shaina Creech, Jermell Williams, Carmilla Williams, London Busby, Joshua Busby, Ethan Busby, Trenide Williams, and Ivyonna Williams; (7) Great-Grandchildren: Kennedi Broomfield, Jaiya Devoe, Bryanna Aldrich, Timothy Williams, Skylar Broomfield, Kamiya Rouse, Saige Williams; (1) Brother-in-law: Charlie (Diane) Williams; (2) Sisters-in-law: Linda Williams and Patricia Allen; Aunt; Ivy Johnson; (3) Devoted Cousin: Sherry Coulibaly, James Fitts (Dot) and Eva Walker; (9) Devoted Friends: Tonya Carter, Cerisa Singleton, Linda Bowman, Willie Mae Duncan, Barbara Ann Johnson, Edmund Gill, Martha Coath, William Ginn, and Christopher Simmons. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
