Josephine Gray was born to the late John and Carrie Miller of Polk County, NC on June 20, 1927. She departed this life on November 26, 2022. She was married to the late Wiley Gray. From this union six children were born. She was a member of New Bethel Independent Church in Forest City, NC. Josephine was employed at Broyhill Furniture Company for forty years. In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was preceded in death by two daughters, Jackie Miller and Barbara Jean Owens, one son, Spencer Gray, one grandson, Terry Owens. She leaves to cherish fond memories one son, Tommy Gray of Washington, DC, two daughters, Joe Ann Gray of Spindale, NC, and Brenda Logan (William) of Forest City, NC, eleven grandchildren, Rickey Miller, Janice Owens, Mikal Muhammad, Helen Croft, Felecia Watkins, Shawn Carpenter, Robert Gray Sr., Tony Miller, Rosalind Law, Darian Logan, and Angel Logan. Twenty-six great grandchildren, nineteen great great grandchildren, two brothers, Albert Miller of Spindale NC, and Fred Miller (Geraldine) of Forest City, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
