Mr. John Hubbard Miller, 82, Springville, Passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. Surrounded by his loving family. Birthdate of deceased: 12/10/1940 / Deceased Date: 12/01/2022 Mr. John H. Miller was born in Springville, AL to the late James and Callie Miller. He was preceded in death by: his late wife, Sue Miller, Brother, Harry (Annie-Clara) Miller, Sister, Martha Miller, Brother-in-law, Henry Williams, and Mother-in-law, Betsi Brown. He attended Springville Schools before moving to Miami, FL with his cousin John M. in the early 60s. He moved back to Alabama in 1990 where he joined Abiding Bethel and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior, he then later became an Honorary Deacon of the church. John “Buddy” Miller loved being with family and whenever there was music playing he was sure to be dancing. He loved cars, dressing up, working at Springville Schools, but mostly importantly he loved to eat food that was “Busting in Flavor” as he would say. There was never a dull moment when he was around because he was going to make sure you were laughing until you couldn’t breathe. He leaves to cherish his memories to: His wife Debra Ann Miller, one son, John Hubbard Thompson, one daughter, Amanda Renea Miller, three grandchildren, Armand Rashard Miller, Bri’On Ari’Yan Miller, and Cameron Armarion Miller. He also leaves to cherish his step-children he helped raise with Debra: Jo A. (Charles) Brown-Drake, Reginald Brown, Demetiria Brown, John Brown, and Grady Brown. His sisters Mary Louise Woody of Atlanta, GA, Betty Hammond and Feleica Lewis both of Springville, AL, Carolyn Williams and Icy (Thomas) Williams both of Ashville, AL. His aunt, Beatrice Wilson of Atlanta, GA. and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special friends: Dr. Robert Harris, Jule Ephraim, and Mrs. Carlos and Mr. Bobby Wilson.

Public viewing will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 12noon-5pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00pm at Overcoming Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Eulogy: Bishop David Lashore. Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of West Gadsden Funeral Home. 256-549-0004
