Obituary For Mrs. Emma L Smothers

Youngstown A homegoing celebration in honor of Mrs. Emma L. Smothers will be held Saturday December 10, 2022 at 12pm at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave in Youngstown, OH. Mrs. Smothers departed this life November 30, 2022 in Austintown, OH. Mrs. Smothers was born July 26, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama a daughter of Matilda Cobb Lamb and Johnny Albert coming to the Mahoning Valley many years ago. She was a loving homemaker and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Annie Hall of Youngstown; her brother, James (Jane) Cobb of Gary, IN a host of other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cargon Summers; her children, Emma Turner, Henry Lathen; her siblings, Willy B., Leon and David Cobb, Jesse Walter, Sallie Booker. The family will receive friends from11-12pm at the Jaylex Event Center. Interment will be in Detroit Memorial Park West Cemetery in Redford, MI.
