Ethel Ruth Chisholm Maldonado, a daughter of the late James Chisholm Sr. and Carrie Bell Denton was born on April 13, 1956, in Chester, S.C transitioned to her permanent home on Thursday, November 24,2022, in Lancaster, S.C at MUSC Medical University South Carolina, Lancaster.

Ethel graduated from Chester Senior High School and served our country in the US Navy. Subsequent to her Naval service Ethel worked as a paralegal.

Ethel was a member of Mt. Oliver Baptist Church for many years. Ethel meticulous about her appearance and always strived to look her best. Through her various illnesses, she remained strong. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers James, Jr, William Alvin, Edward, Marvis Clark and Donald Chisholm; her stepbrother Rev. John Cheek Jr.

Three sisters, Dorothy C. Farr (Pastor James Jr) Union S.C, Rosa C. Knight (Robert), Charlotte, N.C, Carrie C. Gallman (Charlie) Charlotte, N.C, stepsisters Betty Holmes and Patricia Williams, Jersey City, N.J, and a host of family and friends to reflect her precious life.
