CROWLEY – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Israelite Baptist Church in Crowley, LA for Ms. Christa Andrus, 82, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in West Crowley Cemetery.

Rev. Ivan Lewis, Pastor of Israelite Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Andrus’ memories are being cherished by: three sons, John (Dawn) Dickerson of Rayne, LA, Thaddeus (Debbie) Nolan of Crowley, LA and Frank (Radessa) Andrus of Gary, LA; six daughters, Faith Murrell (Jerry) of Abbeville, LA, Marlette Williams (Jimmy Lee) of Columbia, SC, Robin Harris of Broussard, LA, Josette Cormier (Julian) and Josefia Solomon (Michael), both of Crowley, LA and Collette Andrus of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Frank D. (Lillian) Andrus, Sr. of Tuskegee, AL; two sisters, Sylvia Andrus Brown of Abbeville, LA and Dr. Katherine Wilson of Tuskegee, AL; thirty-three grandchildren; eighty-eight great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Andrus is preceded in death by: her parents, Alfred, Sr. and Essie Mae Simpson Andrus; six brothers, Alfred, Daniel, Warren, Percy, Johnny and Jesse Andrus; five grandchildren, Thaddeus , Nolan and Robert Hoptkins, James Forrest, II, Jarell Andrus and Jarai Andrus; and one great grandchild, Bria Collette Brown.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Crowley, LA. Visitation will resume on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Israelite Baptist Church.
