Mr. John L. Sims, 67, of Americus, Ga. transitioned this life on Tuesday at Magnolia Manner Nursing Home in Americus, Ga. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 @ 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Plains, Ga. Please keep this family uplifted in prayer.

He would always get mad at me for calling him Monkey, but that's what we called him and that's what he will always be in my heart. I just learned of his passing on Yesterday and it took my totally by surprise. My condolences to Ironman and Sister. I offer this white candle as a sign of unity and pray he has found peace with his brothers Nukie, Doll and his buddies, Wheelbarrow, Mike Harris, Henry Woods and the rest of the Carter Street hangers. Rest on in Peace.

Rest Peaceful Uncle Jake, my favorite uncle. The one who was always there. Never in my life have I ever seen him mad nor angry. You always held your head up high.
