Funeral service for Clement Bennett, 82, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Chaplain James Q. Smith will officiate. (Facial covering is required)

Mr. Bennett, who passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL, was born November 19, 1940 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, December 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Arnita Bennett of Opelika, AL; four children, Vanessa (Kenneth) Burton, Carla Morgan both of Opelika, AL, Andrea Holifield of Atlanta, GA and Kevin (Glenda) Collier of Summerville, SC; nine grandchildren, Keon (India) Burton, Vanise (Bruce) Berry, Quentin Holifield, Carissa Morgan, Chanesha Morgan, Shanice Collier, Spichelle Collier, Kevin Collier, Jr. and Jaquan Collier; fourteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Ann Demonia, Mary Helen (Bruce) Neal both of Orlando, FL, Mamie J. Larkin of New York City, NY, one sister-in-law, Linda Miller of Auburn, AL; three brothers-in-law, Michael (Shaun) Ortiz of Los Angeles, CA, Anthony (Joyce) Ortiz, Sr. of Jonesboro, GA and Christopher (Cheryl) Clark of Calabasas, CA; a special cousin, Mary Jo Hodges of Opelika, AL; a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
