The funeral services for the late Mr. Alonza Frank "Lonzo" Davis, who departed this life on Monday, November 21, 2022 in Tampa, Florida, will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia, with the Pastor, Reverend Samuel M. Gaines, officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Later in life, he attended New Bethel Baptist Church, in Ocilla, Georgia. He loved Jesus Christ. Alonza was one of the cooks at the Ocilla church for many years. Education: A graduate of Turner County High School, Class of 1990 Work Experience: After high school, Alonza joined the United States Navy. He served four years. Later in life, he started his own business in Ocilla, Georgia, Mr. D's Detail Car Wash. When Alonza wasn't washing cars, he was spending time with family and friends. His favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hometown: 146 North Leary Road, Ashburn, Georgia. After living in Ocilla, Georgia for several years, Alonza moved back to Ashburn, Georgia. Resided: In 2021, he moved to Tampa, Florida. Stepchildren: Victavia Pedroso, Shaunte King, Ki Bowens, Donte King, Antiria Jenkins, Santana King, Danielle Johnson, Dexter Johnson, Jr., Shandrecia Johnson Step-grandchildren: "Several" And a host of aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, classmates, and everyone else that knew him.
